Update: I have been able to use the app with my S22 & use it well. Finally had to allow it to see my contacts even I should not. However, it updated last night & is now constantly syncing emails. Took three (3) tries to open the app. I have used this app before on my S22 with great success and dependability. I quit using due to change of situations. However, the app will not let me finish setting the email account because I will not give the app permission to access my contacts.

Ever since 5/1 or 5/2. The samsung email app remains '1 active in background'. Even when you stop it and close the app all together. It will just be pop right back up '1 active in the background' shorty after. Also it seems like you can't re-size the widget. Really hope an update to fix these issues comes sooner rather then later. bc constantly be 'active in background' will or could drain battery.

I've been using Samsung email app for years and it's been great but HORRIBLE since last update (may 2024) won't stop syncing in the background even if sync is turned off. This is really annoying and drains my battery and doesn't even bring in my emails just runs in the background. Hope there's a fix soon
