This application is software for syncing the Galaxy Watch7 and does not operate on its own.
The Galaxy Wearable application must be installed first for it to operate normally.

[Required Access Permissions]
- Location: To search for nearby connectable devices to connect to the Gear via Bluetooth
- Storage: To send/receive saved files with the Gear
- Phone: To verify the unique identification information of devices for app updates and for installing plug-in apps
- Contacts: To provide services that require account syncing by using the registered Samsung account information
- Calendar: To provide the sync feature for the Watch and schedule
- Call logs: To provide the sync feature for the Watch and call logs
- SMS: To provide the sync feature for the Watch and SMS

[Optional Access Permissions]
- Camera: To scan QR codes when activating the Watch (models that support eSIM only)

Ratings and reviews

Very unreliable. Pairing with my watch will get reset from time to time and switching between two watches is nearly impossible, as it forces me to reset one of them as it will often enter a "retry loop". Overall, Samsung software is some of the worst I've ever had to deal with no matter if in a phone, tablet, or watch. I use this because I need to, but should there be alternatives, I'd be eager to hop onto those anytime.

it's stunning how bad this software is. it's impossible to do a basic call routing to Bluetooth devides. connected to your phone. when you accept a call on the watch it has an option to route it to phone, which just routes it to the phone speaker not the connected device. as if the developers who have developed this software have no idea what use cases are needed by the users. stunning

Battery setting always reverts back to optimized from unrestricted on the Pixel (non Samsung) devices. This prevents the weather app on the Galaxy watch to not update the weather in the background even though auto refresh is set to ON. Tried many things but it always goes back to Optimized in battery settings. This is a long standing issue and needs to be fixed. When paired with a Samsung phone the auto refresh of the weather app doesn't seem to be an issue.
