About this game

sDoku is a sudoku app printed like a vintage newspaper. Ink on paper stock, a serif masthead, pencil marks written by hand, and a rubber SOLVED stamp when the page falls. No plastic buttons, no neon, no ads between puzzles. Just the paper.

TODAY'S EDITION
One daily puzzle, the same grid for every reader in the world. The difficulty follows the week: gentle starts on Monday, a fiendish Friday, and the diabolical Sunday Special. Build a reading streak, one morning at a time.

THE ARCHIVE
Fresh puzzles printed on demand in four editions: Gentle, Tricky, Fiendish, and Diabolical. Every puzzle has exactly one solution, and difficulty is graded by the solving techniques a human actually needs, not by counting clues. Free readers print three a day; a press pass makes the archive unlimited.

A PROPER SOLVING KIT
• Pencil marks, handwritten in the margins
• Cell-first or digit-first entry: latch a digit and stamp it in
• Proofreading: wrong entries circled in red ink as they happen
• Undo, erase, auto notes, and an editor who will help if asked
• The editor's help is honest: it goes on the record and costs your league entry (three free corrections a day, unlimited with a press pass)

PRESS CUTTINGS
Achievements clipped straight from the paper: torn edges, headlines, and the date you earned them. Stories that keep proving true climb the printing ladder, from a wax-sealed Tenth Printing to the double-ruled Centenary Issue. Over forty long-term goals for solvers who want more than a checkmark.

THE LEAGUE TABLES
Take a free subscription, choose a byline, and file your times. Today's table ranks clean solves of the daily edition, fastest first. Weekly and monthly tables count points, and harder editions pay more. The paper's own correspondents, clearly marked, solve every edition too, and they make room as real subscribers file. Reading the tables is free for everyone, and so is filing: the subscription costs nothing and exists only to put a name on your times.

CARRIED ACROSS DEVICES
Sign in with a free Sapplify account — Apple, Google, or email — and your paper backs up: every solve, streak and clipping. Pick up a new phone or a second device and it all comes with you. Your data stays yours: export a copy any time, or delete your account and everything in it in a single tap.

THE BACK ISSUES
Last week's editions wait in the morgue for press-pass holders: seven more dailies at any moment, reprinted on demand. Missed the fiendish Friday? Pull it from the shelf.

FOUR PAPER STOCKS
The Morning Edition in warm cream, the Midnight Edition in charcoal, and two subscriber stocks: aged Sepia and crisp Archival white.

YOURS, YOUR WAY
• The daily edition is always free, no account needed
• Play offline; your record lives on this device and backs up to your account when you sign in
• No ads, no third-party trackers, nothing sold or shared
• Export your data or delete your account any time, right in the app
• A press pass makes the archive and the editor unlimited and adds the back issues and subscriber stocks

Solve the way the puzzle page always deserved to be solved. Pick up today's edition.

LEGAL
A press pass is an auto-renewing subscription, billed through Google Play until cancelled; manage or cancel it any time in Play's subscription settings. A patron pays once and never again.
