I'm a vet tech. My job is heavily reliant on physical fitness: stamina, strength, and flexibility. But while I know a whole lot about anatomy and physiology, I never understood a good and proper way to increase my strength gradually. This app lays it out for me: a simple, easy-to-use, straightforward method that doesn't take too much time and even does the math *for* me. As far as fitness apps go, the results from this one are self-evident; I'm stronger than I've ever been! Thank you, 5/3/1!

I really like the app! There is a bit of a learning curve to set the app up to your 531 Program. You can just go with all the default options and get a good workout, but you would be better if you Understood the different 531 options before starting the app, to prevent having to try and change things after have started your cycle. The only part of the app that I have had issues with is the set timer, and that could very easily be user error/incompetence. Overall I highly recommend using the app!

would be great to be able to set certain exercises as "dumbbell" or "barbell". they all appear to default to "barbell" style. Pretty good, has been kicking my butt, though I'm keeping up and feeling like I'm working harder than I have since I've progressed to an intermediate level. 4 stars because some of the prompts aren't super clear, though as you go through the weeks it makes more sense.
