About this app

Score Creator is a musical composition & songwriting application that is specially designed for mobile platforms. It's a simple but powerful music creation tool that caters your need of writing music on the go. Regardless, you're a songwriter, composer, musician or just a music lover who can read and write music notation, you will find the app a useful and essential music editor tool to compose music.

*** The app's user experience is completely optimized to make composing music on mobile devices easier and faster than ever. No more "tapping and zooming" the screen just to add a music note or a chord symbol. No more "dragging and dropping" from the palette just to add a sharp/flat sign. All you need to do to compose music is just tapping the keyboards (notes and chords) that are designed like a text keyboard, which helps write music notes & chord symbols easily. COMPOSING MUSIC IS NOW AS SIMPLE AS TEXTING TO YOUR FRIENDS!

*** Apart from being a songwriting app for songwriter, Score Creator also functions as a music teaching and learning assistant tool for music teachers and students. Teachers can teach students how to read music notation by directly typing music notes into the app and playing back the song, while music learners/players can practice by themselves by notating their favorite songs into the app and playing along with their own music instruments.

*** This songwriting app is a perfect music maker tool for writing different types of sheet music, including lead sheet, solo instruments, SATB choir, sheet for brass & woodwind bands, ...

All the other reviews are out dated. I find this app to be Much Better than musescore or others. The only problems one may have is potentially the lack of articulation, or the fact that some instruments like the harp can sound "iffy". (Dynamics DO effect music notation, do it RIGHT) But my full intent is to print out music. Articulations aren't a problem to draw in. And good scores don't need a good playback system. And the fact it's $38! you get more for your money. Others this cheap are BAD

This versatile little solution to the challenges of getting a lean, easy-to-master music notation app going on your phone costs only $4. They're working very hard to improve the product, which of course can easily lead to occasional problems. I just found this out the hard way but was extremely impressed with how responsive they were with getting things back up and running. However, I hope they are thinking about making the files a little more easy to find. I've gotten the hang of it myself on my Android but I can see that it would not be be all that easy to convince other users to collaborate and pass exported files back and forth, for example, especially using iOS. So far, it also seems impractical to pass the file back and forth to your own computer. Once you export & start working on a computer (I use Musescore) you probably won't be able to import the file back into Score Creator in a usable format. Now ignore most of everything I just said and install Score Creator immediately on your phone or tablet. For my money it's the best out there .... and STILL IS, as of 4/27/2020!

Really like this app because it has alot of potential, the problem is alot of functions don't work such as articulations and dynamics don't affect playback which is really difficult to work with. Also some of the instruments (primarily the harp) dound a little weird and doesnt really sound like it should, I would also recommend putting in a pitz function for strings (violin, viola, cello,) but other than that its really easy to use just please fix those issues.
