Shamvi is a quiet place to land.
Not another habit tracker. Not another guided meditation library asking
for a streak. Just sound, paired with photographs of real places, for
the moments you need to come back to yourself.
THE IDEA
Most apps shout. They badge you, ping you, push you toward another goal.
Shamvi does the opposite. It opens with a single question (what do you
need right now?) and then it gets out of the way.
Six scenes ship in v1, with more added each month:
• Ember Hour: sunset over the ridge
• Where Pines Breathe: midday sky, deodar pines
• Prayer in the Wind: flags at altitude
• River Stone: a small stream, slowly
• Soft Rain, Window: monsoon, first evening
• Meadow After Rain: wildflowers at 6 a.m.
Each scene pairs a photograph from a place we love, mostly the Himalayas
and the several places from Nepal, with ambient sound chosen and mastered to play softly without losing its texture.
WHAT YOU GET
· A library of immersive ambient scenes
· Mood-based suggestions: pick how you feel, get a scene that fits
· A sleep timer: set it, drift off, audio stops when you do
· Scene mixer: layer rain, river, wind, and ember to taste
· Favorites: keep what works for you, one tap to play again
WHAT YOU DON'T GET
· No streaks
· No leaderboards
· No notifications begging for your attention
· No "you broke your habit" guilt
· No ads, ever
· No tracking beyond what's strictly needed to make the app work
WHO IT'S FOR
People who work in noise and need somewhere quiet to land. People who
can't sleep. People with restless minds who've tried every meditation app
and bounced off them all. People who used to hike, and miss being
somewhere quiet.
HOW TO USE IT
Open the app. Pick a mood, or pick a scene. Press play. That's it.
Use it on your commute, at your desk during deep work, in the middle of
the night when sleep won't come, on a couch on a Sunday afternoon.
A NOTE FROM THE MAKERS
Shamvi began with a long walk and a question. What would a calm app
look like if it was built like a place, not a feed? It is built slowly,
by a small team in Nepal, and updated only when an update is worth your
attention. We hope it earns a quiet corner of your home screen.
