Some helpful tools are subscriber only but it is OK as free user. You can't make notes on rude & no-shows, you can only block which defeats the community feel. Most are calm and friendly and experienced but newcomers often fall in the trap of first come first served (a bad way to turn gifting into a race). Three years later it's better than a beta release but still has a long way to go in development. People get a lot of value but few support operations or development!

The only good thing is its userbase. Lots of people use it, so you always find someone who will take your free stuff no matter what it is. Unfortunately, the app SUUUUUUCKS. If I get a message notification, clicking on it is useless: it takes me to the home page instead of the actual message. If I try to create a post and use the in-app picture taker, the app crashes (I have to take pics with the phone's camera app). There are many more bugs but I can only type 500 chars here.

Thought it would make posting and checking easier, but setting prefs is very awkward--you have to either accept posts from outside your assigned area, or restrict it so much, it doesn't include the whole neighborhood. Kind of goes against the idea behind Buy Nothing. Also pushes in-app purchases and shipping--once again, against the whole concept.
