We needed a security system in our new neighborhood and considered several options before deciding to go with SimpliSafe. Purchasing and setup were extremely easy, and my only real issue is the cost (still paying on it). They just sent me a moving kit which was unexpected but greatly appreciated! We are well-supported for any technical issues, but they have been minor and were only during the setup. Sometimes if it is windy, the solar charged cameras are great unless it is windy (battery).

Outdoor cameras can only pick up motion at about fifteen feet, not even close to the thirty feet that they claim. Front doorbell mount does not have an option to point it outward, just up and down. Battery charger still use micro usb instead of type c. My camera is constantly say offline even though they have perfect connection. Just a lot of issues that they can easily fix and choose not to. So I spent about $10 and 2 hours rigging a 45° angle. on the front door ringer. Should be included.

When I go to Base Station Settings in the app, it's completely blank. The system itself is pretty good, but it's frustrating to try to watch video and frequently get a message that no video was recorded. My internet download speeds are 400+ Mbps, and the download are 14+ Mbps. The app should be able to tell the user if the base station is currently connected to Wifi. It's really annoying getting a stock message about connecting to Wifi to find out you already are.
