DISH Anywhere requires a MyDISH account, and a Hopper with Sling or Hopper 3 receiver model for streaming Live TV and DVR.

(DISH Anywhere users that do not have one of the above supported receivers but do have a MyDISH account can still watch On Demand and Live shows from select channels).

Accessibility Service Disclosure: To provide a seamless and reliable navigation experience for our users, DISH Anywhere utilizes the AccessibilityService API. This API is used strictly to facilitate 2D spatial navigation and handle directional key events from remote controls on Android TV and Google TV devices. DISH Anywhere does not use the AccessibilityService API to collect, store, or share any personal or sensitive user data.

Ratings and reviews

Not dependable at all. If you want to schedule live sports events to record you need to select new and reruns in the options. The dish guide is completely unreliable and may or may not list a live event as new. Forget watching a show from the start if it's still being recorded. After the show is over it usually takes an hour or so for it to show up in the app. The skip forward 30 seconds feature actually works. It takes 45 seconds to a minute to work but it will eventually work.

This app is so buggy. It constantly crashes. It will only connect to my Chromecast about 50% of the time. It's been like this for years and it's never gotten better. It's honestly one of the worst apps I've used and if I want to watch TV on my bedroom where I don't have a satellite box, I have to use the app and cast to my chromecast. Clearly it's not "DISH Anywhere"... it's "DISH Someplaces, Sometimes, but Don't count on it. "

I've been using Dish Anywhere for a couple of years when I travel. It's nice to have but it buffers ALL THE TIME. It doesn't matter if there's high speed connected to the hopper and connected when the Dish Anywhere app is on, it still buffers and it legs when hitting the forward or back buttons. It also states up to 5 users at once, I can only get 1. If another person tries watching it on the ap, it kicks the 1st person off. No other streaming aps buffer. Worse streaming ap ever!
