Ratings and reviews

It's a great concept mediocrely executed. They have cool features that are easy to access like budget tracking and very basic investing. It's a good gateway drug for finance but not the final stop. The app uses 3x power and CPU time as competitors so I'm not sure exactly what it's doing in the background, but it's definitely eating my battery all day. Thank you so much SoFi, for getting me into watching my money and what not but I'm going to be divesting until your code improves.

They gave me a free share of stock, then proceeded to charge the account fees, taking back the stock with no notice. There's no way to close the account. I've been trying to close the account for 2 years now with no success, and they're still charging fees (is that legal??) It's impossible to get any help and the app and website are COMPLETELY USELESS when it comes to getting any support. I live texted with support there and even they can't do anything about the fraudulent fees. Don't trust them

More negatives than positives so far. Customer service appears to be a low priority. Too many hoops to jump through to start even basic tasks, like deposit cash. There was a tracker for my debit card shipment but it disappeared. Ihave no idea on the status. It's already taking way longer than any bank I've been with. We'll see how it goes after I've performed the dozens of tasks they demand for basic banking.
