This is the tuner you want for banjo, don't mess with any of those others. There's so many junk tuners out there with ads, purchases, and subscriptions for basic features. This app does an amazing job clearly displaying your tune. I love that it also shows exactly which string and knob you're tuning as you go. It's perfect for beginners. Only way it could be improved is if it explicitly said which way to twist the knobs. This is essentially a perfect app, using any paid one is a mistake.

The tuner is way too erratic for me. When I try to use it, my banjo sounds out of tune in Open G when it says zero-tuned. Positively awful in alternate tunings. The needle jumps all over the scale in both the automatic and fixed modes. The only reason I keep the app is for the metronome. I have to go to YouTube to find a tuner not so erratic. What's up with that? Is there a way to fix it so it isn't so erratic?
Thanks for using our banjo tuner! For the best results, tune your banjo in a quiet environment. We use high sensitivity to analyze the full sound and give you the best results.

Well, it's my first time to really buckle down and learn to play a banjo. I played a little guitar years ago. I decided that even before I start learning notes and fret positions that I'd learn to pick the strings and find my rhythm. I had it tuned in about 5 minutes with this app. I don't remember it being that easy with the guitar and I had a tuner. Now, not even knowing a single real note and simply placing my fingers where it sounds right, I almost sound like I been playing awhile. Thanks
