About this app

One by SMS Assist is an application utilized by SMS Assist’s network of contractors to help manage work orders and streamline the onsite validation process. It is fully integrated with the SMS Assist Affiliate portal and enables real-time communication and work order visibility. The One by SMS Assist app improves the workflow process for both field technicians and administrators in the following ways:

• Allows administrators to remotely monitor and manage the status of work order information
• Eliminates back-office costs and paperwork on every work order
• The photo feature captures before and after pictures to ensure every service is completed to 100% satisfaction
• The GPS-enabled functionality decreases technicians’ check-in and -out time
• The messaging feature connects technicians with SMS Assist’s team and reduces the need for time consuming follow-up calls

Ratings and reviews

Devs: android app needs work. Have to approve permissions every time upon starting app. Seems to vacuum battery whenever active. Frequent sync issues (roughly 60% of the time), which requires restart and re-approval of permissions...and so it goes. Auto rotate seems to confuse it as well. Bottom line, it adds complexity and time to work flow and, I'd argue, results in frustration which leads to poorer quality work.

Always changing. Constantly having to put same information. Can't jump arpund on app amd come back to fill in info later. Making it so i cant procede without putting info from units that i am not on yet. On a commercial property it can be difficult to access some units and having to get that info on all units before i can proceed with the first unit, waste an extreme amount of time

the app is semi functional. I had to download the app to my personal phone b/c the app wpuld constantly crash my work tablet I'm supposed to be using, specially when I have to take the last photo when starting a job or ending the job. Now on my phone it freezes instead and wont register the taken pic. I have ro take the pic outside of the app then use gallery to add it. oh and the work orders icon is a bit confusing, it looks like what would be the "settings" tab
