It has the potential to be amazing, maps and speed limits are absolutely perfect. It doesn't speed alert unless 10 kph over speed limit, this is too high. Can you change it to option of 10% over speed limit. (EG 44kph alert in a 40kph limit, 66 kph in a 60kph limit). Also in premium version, map shows fixed speed cameras (EG. Chandlers Hill Rd. Happy Valley, South Australia ) but it doesn't alarm, when settings are set to alarm. What is the point? Samsung Galaxy S3.
Sygic is a great app, very useful, intuitive and clean UI, user friendly, etc. I've used it since 2011. I convinced myself to buy the premium version last year and I did it. Few months later I lost my cellphone. Once I got a new one, I updated my account but the app didn't recognize I was a premium client. The app keeps trying to sold me the premium version in an Indonesian voice. Really annoying. Update: the customer support team did a great job and solved the problem! Everything's just fine now!
It has potential but without korean language search its useless as a convenient gps navigation app * such as ~ if i search a korean place name, a building, etc. in Korean 한글 text, the search comes up with no results. If it had search functions and results similar to the local apps such as Kakao and T-maps apps it would be good as they do not provide english language voices. Google Maps can also come up with the right results but it doesnt do navigation in Korea
Basically very nice app, just on my Samsung S5 keeps on crashing crashing crashing crashing crashing crashing. Get a life Sygic and give me an app that is working properly. Paid €30 you know, may I expect something for that money please. Update: lots of improvements since my first comments in 2015. No more crashes.
The only problem that I have with sygic and the one that keeps me with google maps whilst only checking back occasionally to see if this problem has been fixed is that if I click on an address link in my calendar it opens sygic, but doesn't enter the address for navigation. Instead I need to manually enter the address. As Google maps opens with the selected address ready to navigate I tend to stick with Google maps. My work involves travelling to various client addresses that are in my calendar every day. I don't want to have to type these into the satnav when they are already in the calendar. Select, open and navigate is what I need.
I have five SatNav apps and this has been my choice for everyday use for several years. However, over the last few months, it screws up addresses from contacts, e.g. Barry Close, Chadwell St Mary goes to St Mary's Avenue, Barry! Sygic know this is a problem but their updates seem to prioritise adding new features. This is an otherwise good app. And note: this is not a problem with the map data, but the way that Sygic reads the list of contacts.
