Here Comes the Bus® is an easy-to-use app that lets you view the real-time location of your child’s bus on your smartphone, tablet or computer.

With Here Comes the Bus, you can send your child to the bus stop at just the right time, helping to avoid missed buses or long waits in freezing temperatures, pouring rain, the hot sun or rush-hour traffic.

Ratings and reviews

I have only had this for a month and have had to reinstall 4 times (today being the 5th install). The icons representing the school, the bus, and our stop randomly disappear. They will not come back without reinstalling. Occasionally, I don't get the notification that the bus is close and we've missed being at the stop on time a couple times. When it does work, it is pretty accurate and I think it's a great idea. Would definitely give more stars if they'd fix the bugs.

Frustrating. For example, all screens include a big red notification about a bug from a while ago. The notification takes up a lot of space, can't be cleared, and includes a Learn More link that returns an error if you click it. When I tried to change my password, the message covered the password box and kept me from using the app. That's just one example. Obviously, the app still has longstanding problems with substitutions and switches. Just poor quality control all around.

Giving it 2 stars only because when it is working properly, it's so helpful!! But that happens so infrequently that I cannot rely on the app at all. Issues range from getting notifications of the bus coming way AFTER it already came and went, some days I don't get notifications at all, or it'll go to my email (which is NOT enabled in my settings) instead of my phone. I really hope the developers fix this ASAP so it can be of use. Otherwise, it's just a waste of storage space on my phone.
