Maestro Margin is a practice journal built for musicians who think in pencil marks, circled measured numbers, and handwritten tempo notes. It gives you a dedicated space to log every rehearsal session exactly the way you would mark up a paper score. The Podium tab serves as your dashboard, presenting a large blue fountain pen counter of your total rehearsals this week right across the staff lines, a pinned scrap of manuscript paper showing your most rehearsed piece, and a sticky note with your last three entries. Swipe over to the Sessions tab to browse a scrollable list of every rehearsal entry, each one rendered as an annotated measurement excerpt with a cursive piece title, a red pencil tempo marking, and tricky measures circled in blue. Tapping any entry immediately opens it for editing in a pre-filled form, so you can refine your notes without starting over. When a passage is finally mastered, a left swipe reveals a red eraser icon, and a quick animation removes the pencil mark cleanly from your record. Adding a new rehearsal is just as natural: the New Note tab places blank staff paper in front of you with simple fields for the piece title, tempo marking, tricky measures, and session date, all drawn as pencil annotations. The Folder tab keeps your growing collection organized by piece title inside a manila folder, complete with handwritten index tabs and a search field that filters instantly as you type. Everything you record stays securely in local device storage, so your practice history is private, instantly available, and never requires an account. The entire experience is set on cream-colored sheet music paper with five faint staff lines, while the bottom tab bar appears as wooden music stand clips that press down with a brass shine on the active screen. There are no checkmarks, no generic to-do lists, just honest graphite marks, eraser smudges, and the quiet satisfaction of seeing your rehearsal count rise in conductor’s handwriting.
