About this app

Àjọ is a decentralised Rotating Savings and Credit Association (ROSCA) app built for privacy. Traditional savings circles — known as Àjọ in Yoruba, esusu, tontine, or chit fund — let a group of trusted people pool contributions so each member receives a lump sum in turn. Àjọ brings this time-tested model into the digital age without sacrificing your financial privacy.

🔒 PRIVACY BY DESIGN
Àjọ uses Monero (XMR) — the leading privacy cryptocurrency — for all transactions. Ring signatures and stealth addresses mean your contributions and payouts are unlinkable by outside parties. There are no accounts, no email addresses, and no phone numbers. Your identity lives only on your device.

🌐 CENSORSHIP-RESISTANT NETWORKING
All peer-to-peer communication runs over I2P (Invisible Internet Project), an anonymous overlay network. Your IP address is never exposed to other members or any third party. There are no central servers that can be shut down or surveilled.

💰 MULTISIG FUND PROTECTION
Group funds are held in (n-1)-of-n Monero multisig wallets. No single member — not even the group creator — can move money unilaterally. Every payout requires consensus from the group, protecting members against exit scams or dishonest organisers.

🎯 FLEXIBLE PAYOUT METHODS
Choose how your group decides who receives each round's payout:
- Fixed order — agree the sequence upfront
- Random lottery — fair, verifiable randomness each round
- Bidding — members bid; lowest bid wins the round early

👥 HOW IT WORKS
1. Create a savings circle and invite 3–20 members
2. Set the contribution amount in XMR and the round frequency
3. Each round, all members contribute; one member receives the pooled funds
4. Repeat until every member has received their payout once

📱 NO CLOUD. NO TRACKING.
Àjọ contains no Firebase, no Google Sign-In, and no cloud database. All data stays on your device and syncs directly with your circle peers over I2P. Anthropic, Google, and other third parties have no access to your savings group data.

⚠️ EXPERIMENTAL SOFTWARE
Àjọ is in early release. Always test with small amounts first. Back up your multisig wallet data regularly. Use at your own risk.
