6°Net is a privacy-first, peer-to-peer (P2P) skill networking app that connects you to skilled professionals through your trusted contact network — no middlemen, no platform fees, no data harvesting.

Inspired by the six degrees of separation theory, 6°Net lets you search for skills across 2, 5, or 8 hops in your real-world social graph — surfacing talent you can actually trust because it comes recommended through mutual connections.

🔗 HOW IT WORKS
1. Download the app and enter your phone number to create your anonymous network identity
2. The app hashes your contact list with SHA-256 — your contacts are never uploaded in plain text
3. The P2P network automatically discovers neighbours from your contact graph
4. Search for any skill (web developer, electrician, accountant, designer, plumber…)
5. Results arrive in real time from within 2°, 5°, or 8° of your network

🌐 TRULY PEER-TO-PEER
All search traffic flows directly between devices over an encrypted I2P (Invisible Internet Project) overlay network built into the app. No central server ever sees your searches or your results.

🛡️ PRIVACY BY DESIGN
• Your phone number is one-way SHA-256 hashed — it can never be recovered
• Your contact list is also SHA-256 hashed — only anonymised IDs leave your device
• No advertising, no tracking, no data brokers
• GPS location is used only to compute distance to results — never stored server-side

📋 POST YOUR SKILLS AS LISTINGS
Create rich skill listings with a title, description, asking price, currency, category, and optional image. Listings travel across the P2P network so people searching for your skills can find you — even if they don't have your number.

💬 DIRECT P2P CHAT
Once a match is found, message the skilled person directly through the app's encrypted chat — no email, no third-party messenger required.

⭐ REPUTATION & RATINGS
Rate your experience after an engagement. Your star rating builds your reputation on the network, making it easier for others to trust and book you.
