About this game

Gomoku is five in a row. Black and white take turns putting a stone on a crossing. The first player with five stones in a line wins: across, down, or corner to corner. Play against a friend on one phone, or against the computer. It works offline.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
FOUR WAYS TO PLAY
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

The player who goes first has an advantage. Each rule set fixes that in its own way. Inkstone plays all four, and tells you what each one does before you pick it:

• FREE-STYLE: five or more in a row wins, for either color.
• STANDARD: exactly five wins. A row of six is too long and wins nothing.
• RENJU: black needs exactly five, and may not make a double three, a double four, or a row of six. Those points are marked on the board before you play them.
• SWAP2: one player puts down three stones. The other takes a color, or adds two more stones and hands the choice back.

Change the rules any time. The tutorial that shows you how the game works is in Settings, so you can open it again.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
THE BOARD
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

• Slide your finger to a crossing and lift to place the stone. Until you lift, you can slide to a different crossing.

• Send a finished board to anyone as a picture.
