Understand the current display

Check the logical width, height, and density Android is using before you change anything. Resolution and density are separate values: resolution controls the rendered pixel grid, while logical density affects Android interface scaling.

Adjust the display deliberately

Enter a resolution or DPI value that fits your use case, calculate proportional values, and return display overrides to their defaults when needed. Record the original values before applying a change so you have a recovery reference outside the device.

Setup requirements vary

Android restricts system-level display overrides. Available setup and permission routes depend on the installed app version, Android version, manufacturer software, and device configuration. Follow the instructions shown by the app for your device.

Important limitations

This app changes logical display overrides. It cannot add physical pixels, increase the panel's native PPI, improve touch sampling, or guarantee better gaming performance. Some apps and manufacturer interfaces may not support every display configuration. Extreme values can make controls too large, too small, or difficult to reach.

Record your original values, make conservative changes, and confirm that important apps remain usable. If the interface becomes difficult to use, restore the original values before trying another configuration.

it's work on one UI 8

Works as name says, but with root for me. I'm not getting why developer has published many apps doing tricks with display and not single app with all functionality.

you can test it out before set it. select the resolution and DPI and hit test see if it works, it revert back to original in 15 seconds in case it makes the screen unusable. good job 👍 without root it doesn't work
