About this app

SidingCalc estimates siding material and cost for a whole house, for contractors, builders and DIY renovators working in feet or metres.

• Pick a product: fiber cement lap siding in 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 in exposures, vinyl Double 4 and Double 5, or vertical panels with battens, with pieces per square worked out for you.
• Or enter your own panel coverage for any other siding.
• Enter every wall (up to 13) with its own length and height, and add gable ends.
• List each door and window by size and quantity (up to 30 rows) and see gross and net wall area.
• Add a cutting waste percentage and see area with waste, siding squares and the panels to order.
• Get starter strip, corner posts, J-channel, battens, Z-flashing, housewrap, sealant and fasteners.
• Enter unit prices in your own currency for an itemised cost estimate.
• Switch between feet and metres at any time without retyping.
• Share the estimate as text, and save jobs as named scenarios with notes to reload or update later.

Sizes follow published manufacturer dimensions and are estimates. Confirm quantities with your supplier.
