Luck be a Landlord was a surprisingly good time. It offers a simple premise of fun game to kill time, but I found it to be surprisingly complex and interesting. The more time you spend playing and moving through the different difficulty levels (floors), the more strategies you learn. It's an excellent experience on mobile because you can easily pick up and put down as your time allows.

The runs are very quick, which makes it really easy to have that "just one more" feeling (especially if you speed up the spin and animations under the gameplay settings). Nice hit of dopamine when your build starts coming together. Takes a few runs to see all the options. However, there is no meta progression/unlocks, so once you have done a few runs you have seen everything there is. Does get repetitive, but kept me interested through floor 20.

There's menu unlocks hidden behind playing at least 10 games, and it took a couple hours for me to do that. The beginning starts to feel slow, but I am appreciating more unlocking over time. It's very challenging to beat, and to get a synergy. There's lots of items that can shape the run, looking forward to figuring out a decent strategy. Unfortunate that you seem to have to invest in 2-3 possible paths, but it often becomes your downfall if rng is particularly bad.
