About this app

This app is an automatic file sync and backup tool. It lets you automatically synchronize files and folders with Box cloud storage ( and with your other devices. It is an ideal tool for photo sync, document and file backup, automatic file transfer, automatic file sharing between devices,...

New files in your cloud account are automatically downloaded onto your device. New files in your device are uploaded. If you delete a file on one side, it will be deleted on the other side. It works across multiple devices (your phone and your tablet). If their folders are synced with the same cloud account, they will be kept in sync with each other.

This is how Box works on computers but not on Android. Two-way automatic synchronization should be an essential function of the official app. For whatever reason, it is not the case. BoxSync is here to fill the gap.

All file transfers and communications between user devices and cloud storage servers are securely encrypted and do not go through our servers. No outsiders will be able to decrypt, see or modify any file contents.

• Full two-way automatic synchronization of files and folders

Love this app! I use it to sync game saves (nes, playstation, n64, etc.) between my phone and my Invidia Shield TV. I have to side-load it onto my Nvidia, (Google swears it’s not compatible) but it works great. I have both devices set to auto detect changes in my selected folders, and whatever retro-game I might be playing on the road can be picked right up from where I left-off on my trip when I get home. More and more emulation programs are starting to support syncing game save files, but with this app, I simply set it, and forget it.

It does not work, it process the whole box to download files which takes more than 20 minutes to scan and then shows network error.

Hi, our app only scans the folders which you configured to be synced. It does not touch files outside those folders. There may be indeed some problems with your internet connection. Please test how it works on a different WiFi access point. If you want us to investigate it with you, please email us at

After latest update, file names are now limited to 50 characters, creating an entirely new level of chaos that made this app essentially unusable. Anything with 51 characters or more refuse to sync, and the presence of just one file with more than 50 characters bogged down the entire sync function. I can only sync now in my other phone with the older version.

Hi, we just double checked the latest version of our app in Google Play. It can sync files and folders with very long name just fine. 51 characters aren't that many. Your issue is probably something else. If you want us to investigate it with you please email us at
