New files in your cloud account are automatically downloaded onto your device. New files in your device are uploaded. If you delete a file on one side, it will be deleted on the other side. It works across multiple devices (your phone and your tablet). If their folders are synced with the same cloud account, they will be kept in sync with each other.

This is how Google Drive works on computers but not on Android. Two-way automatic synchronization should be an essential function of the official app. For whatever reason, it is not the case. Autosync for Google Drive is here to fill the gap.

All file transfers and communications between user devices and cloud storage servers are securely encrypted and do not go through our servers. No outsiders will be able to decrypt, see or modify any file contents.

Ratings and reviews

Used to be great. I have the paid version. But autosync doesn't work... At least not as you'd expect. The preference would be to have the device sync immediately as changes happen (I think it used to do that, but I could be wrong) - instead you have to set sync intervals.

It's a godsend. Wishlist: * a way to exclude Google doc / slides files etc. (they get individually skipped anyway) which would speed up the sync. * be able to access rolders on other computers which are synced to GDrive (IE: LenovoLaptop/../desktop/some folder) b/c GDrive syncs those files in a way that is better for various sync cases (EG. Obsidian vaults). I may have found a kludge. testing 'favorite'ing the folder which seems to give access.

Fantastic app! Works perfectly every time. both free and paid versions are worth it. very clear UI and lots of customization options. I even like the documentation, but would recommend that there be more beginner friendly options for file and folder inclusion/exclusion while syncing, because the current method relies on extension matching regex, with like comma separated values which can easily introduce errors.
