About this app

Cycle Log is a GPS ride tracker built on a simple idea: your rides belong to you. Everything is stored on your device — no account to create, no cloud to sync to, no ads, no tracking.

RECORD YOUR RIDES
• Live speed, distance, elevation gain, and grade while you ride
• Compass and barometric altitude on supported devices
• Drop points of interest mid-ride to remember a viewpoint, cafe, or turn
• Screen stays awake while recording, with an optional distraction-free display
• Rides survive interruptions — if the app is killed, your ride can be resumed
• Change which bike you're riding mid-ride or after the fact

KNOW YOUR BIKES
• Keep a profile for every cycle you own
• Log maintenance and service work per bike — chain swaps, brake pads, tune-ups
• See distance totals per bike so you know when service is due

YOUR HISTORY, YOUR FILES
• Browse past rides with maps, stats, and elevation detail
• Import rides from GPX and FIT files (Garmin, Wahoo, and others) — single files, multiple files, or whole zip archives, with duplicate detection
• Export any ride as GPX, or every ride as a GPX or FIT archive
• Open GPX and FIT files shared from other apps directly into Cycle Log
• Upload a ride to Strava when you choose to — nothing is sent automatically

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• All data lives in a local database on your phone
• No sign-in, no analytics, no data collection
• One-tap local backup with restore, plus a gentle reminder when rides pile up
• Location is used for one thing: recording the ride you asked for

THE DETAILS
• Metric and imperial units
• Light and dark themes
• Optional emergency contact shown during rides
• Beautiful cycling-focused maps (CyclOSM)

Cycle Log asks for location permission only while recording, and needs nothing else to work. Documentation and support:

Data safety

Safety starts with understanding how developers collect and share your data. Data privacy and security practices may vary based on your use, region, and age. The developer provided this information and may update it over time.

What’s new

• Choose your map: CyclOSM, OpenStreetMap, OpenTopoMap or satellite imagery, under Settings → Map layer. A tile-server outage is now a one-tap fix rather than a blank map.
• Dark map tiles is now its own Auto/Off/On setting.
• Four more layers unlock with your own free Thunderforest or Stadia API key.
• If GPS drops out mid-ride, a banner now says so, with Retry and a settings shortcut. Your ride keeps running and nothing recorded is lost.
