I love the app & being able to view a lot of options at one time & have used it to find some of our favorite places! The biggest problem that I have with the HomeAway app & it's the same with all of them, the "per night" average is nowhere close to the actual per night charge, no matter what property you choose. It wastes time having to go into each property, enter the dates & then get a quote, just to see what the price MAY be. Additionally, availability is sometimes off, which may be a problem that can't be avoided. However, one thing that can, Rental Agreements. Letting a potential client know if a lengthy rental agreement will be necessary & what the terms are, prior to booking, seems a no-brainer to me. It would save the home owner a lot of wasted time, or so it would seem.

This app is extremely hard to navigate. The descriptions on the properties are vague at best, whilst they list all amenities in great detail, there is nowhere on the property description of how many pets you can have. Hence once you book you can contact the property provider and have a discussion with them. Be aware even if you cancel the booking within hours of making it you will only receive 1/2 of your deposit back. Yes I'm ticked now out of pocket for nearly $400 and have to find another

Absolutely impossible to share accommodation pages with others. The share page + link on both app and website just takes you to the page to download the app even when someone already has the app, opens the app and doesn't take you to the accommodation page that was sent. Painful.
