Lightspeed Scanner is the mobile companion app for the Lightspeed Retail (X-Series) Point-of-Sale (POS) system.

This app allows users to manage their Lightspeed product catalog, sell to customers, and handle product inventory from the convenience of a mobile phone. Lightspeed Scanner turns your device's camera into a powerful barcode reader, making it fast and easy to identify and count products from your Retail catalog.

Key features of Lightspeed Scanner:
• Add or edit products: Record Name, Description, Price, SKU Codes, Locations, and Product Images directly to your Lightspeed Retail catalog.
• Sell from anywhere: Turn your phone into a mobile register. Accept payment via Tap to Pay (Lightspeed Payments users only), sell On Account, or Park sales to complete them on any in-store register.
• View product information: Search your product catalog and view details like price, stock levels, descriptions, and images.
• Inventory management: Perform or schedule full and partial inventory counts. Create or add to supplier purchase orders and outlet transfer orders. You can also receive stock, fulfill transfers, and record inventory adjustments. For additional accuracy, inventory and orders counted on the app must be completed on the Lightspeed Retail POS system, giving managers ultimate control of inventory movements.

• Finding inventory quickly: Check inventory levels across multiple outlets. Product locations are visible and editable within the app, allowing staff to quickly navigate to where products are stored.
• Recording needs: Use the List building function to easily record products that need to be re-stocked, re-labelled, marked as damaged, or transferred to another outlet.

Hardware and Syncing:
• The app syncs directly with your POS system via WiFi or mobile network, ensuring all actions are visible instantly on the Lightspeed Retail system.
• Users of Lightspeed Retail who prefer infrared barcode readers over the built-in camera scanner can connect Socket barcode readers directly to Lightspeed Scanner.

using this for work on my personal phone. when I'm making transfers it doesn't save a draft if I accidentally back out. I've lost at least 10 transfer drafts that I've had to rescan because of this issue. Apparently I have proper access, so it sounds like it's an issue with my phone. I'm using a pixel 4 5g. Edit: Thanks for the response, but I hadn't installed Scanner until a few days after the latest update was released. I will try to remember to leave feedback for you from within the app.

Lacking the feedback that we have on the iOS app. If something doesn't scan correctly, the phone vibrates but doesn't give a bright, highly visible on screen warning (ie flash red). The flash is far too feint and in the same colour as the background. The warning needs to really jump out at you like the iOS version. This feature is crucial to ensure the count is accurate.

The APP is quite useless and only serves 1 purpose. You scan an item in and it tells you if it exists AS AN ENTRY ONLY in your database. It does NOT tell you if you have any in stock or your current inventory. So if VEND clearly shows a count of 1 or more, this APP will not reveal it. Which makes it quite useless. You are better off lugging around a laptop, logged into your VEND account, with a scanner attached to it. I am speculating that you can add items via the APP that you will then upload into Vend, but that is a little silly (slavery with extra steps type of scenario). So I receive a shipment of new collectibles, I have thousands of UPC codes in store...I scan an item in and need to know if the store is out of that item...nope...this will not do it for you. BUT THAT IS THE MAIN REASON I NEED THE SCANNER! To know my current count! This APP is best for a very specific task. But you will discover that you can save time and steps by skipping the APP. If you are working by yourself, at all times (so there is no value in a team member updating counts in Vend themselves), and you already know exactly all the items you need to insert/update counts, and you are away from you computer, then maybe this APP will help you upload counts so you can just hand over the items to a team member and they place on the floor. Otherwise this is frustrating. Second, it is not self explanatory. You are not going to download this APP and understand that this is what it does. I was so looking forward to this but am extremely disappointed.
