The Virgin TV Control app means you can control your TiVo or Virgin TV V6 box from anywhere in the world, wherever you have an internet connection with WiFi, 3G or 4G.
The Best Bits

As a Virgin TV customer, this app lets you:

• Manage your recordings – set up a Series Link+ from anywhere in the world when
you’re connected to the internet
• Control your TV – if your TiVo box is connected to the same home network as your
device you can turn your mobile or tablet into a handy remote control
• Speed up the way you search and browse – search using your device’s QWERTY
keypad instead of the remote
• If you have a Virgin TV V6 box powered by TiVo you can stream selected recordings to
your device
• The app connects directly to your TiVo or Virgin TV V6 box so that you can see if there
is a recording clash or storage space is low
What you need
• Be a Virgin TiVo or V6 customer - note that Virgin TV 360 customers can use Virgin TV Go to manage recordings
• An Android mobile or tablet running Android OS 8 & above with WiFi internet in the
UK
• Your My Virgin Media username and password

For security reasons, and to protect the rights of our content partners, the Virgin TV Control app cannot be used on jailbroken devices, where unauthorised modifications have been made to the operating system.

Feb 2020 update: the app is far too slow. Please speed it up. It's OK. The major issue I have is if the login process goes slightly wrong, the app forgets my user name and password. This can happen multiple times a week and is very annoying. It is not a high security app and so there should be a setting to allow the remembering of username and password. Please can you make this change to the app. Thank you.

Handy for setting a program to record. Had it a year now, still can't get to watch TV on it!!! It has outbursts, when you try and set a recording the app closes down, when it's in this mood, this can happen many, many times, and will not be persuaded! And its still doing it now. If it doesn't work its pointless. Ok apparently I wanted an update on the app. Am I missing something here, or will the app no longer set your virgin box to record etc. This updated effort seems far from intuitive, blah!

edit: doesn't even work now!! Had to change my rating, this app is now the .most annoying app I could have asked for, ever heard if it's not broke don't fix it, well you've broken it now, disconnects from the box every couple of seconds, if the screen locks you have to reconnect to the box right from the beginning which takes ages it's hardly wirth having it at all
