Exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to make my network drive available to my apps and had given up already once. Setup was easy and I have yet to encounter any problems.

Does exactly what I want it to. Was after a way to mount network storage to my phone so that directories were visible to third party apps. Worked a charm and I haven't noticed any battery drain or other adverse impacts. Performance is also great for files accessed in real time

The only way I've gotten SMB to work on Android, pairs nicely with Material Files explorer which lets you set folder shortcuts!
