spent 40 minutes trying to get it to react japanese back to me in English. just kept repeating it in japanese. worked just fine when I tried Spanish. the whole reason I bought these was for my love of anime. AI assistant was not helpful, and constantly had to fight the microphone about staying on, staying off or about cutting off when I was speaking.

The headphones this app came with are pretty dang loud, loud enough to use as speakers on your phones full volume, but the translated words came through my phones speaker rather than the headphones, which seems to defeat their purpose altogether. Also unless the person is speaking super clearly it will mistranslate what they're saying, so good luck piecing their words together.

The truth, it is a nice tool. It is not completely accurate in some modes. The AI was the most accurate. Ear buds add more convenience but are not needed as the app is free. I don't trust the app because you cannot clear your chat and it just seem to collect information. There is no way describe in the app or instructions erase your translations. China have become good spying.
