The Waymo One app makes it easy to get where you’re going in a comfortable, autonomously-driven car operated by the Waymo Driver. The Waymo Driver is designed to prioritize safety and is now taking the stress out of people’s everyday drives and making it safe and easy to get around.

Get a fully autonomous ride with Waymo One in the Metro Phoenix area, including Downtown Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, and Chandler (with Scottsdale coming soon). In San Francisco, you can join our Waymo One waitlist and be one of the first to ride.

How the Waymo Driver works:

• Multilayered suite of sensors. Our cameras, lidar, and radar work together so the Waymo Driver can see up to three football fields away in all directions, day and night. Safety is our top priority, so the Waymo Driver is trained and tested to carefully navigate in all driving situations and get you to your destination, stress free.

How do I get a ride with Waymo One?

• If you’re in Metro Phoenix (Downtown Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, and Chandler), download the Waymo One app and enter your destination to request a ride. When your car arrives, it will be fully autonomous.
• If you’re in San Francisco, join our Waymo One waitlist from the app.
• You also have the option to join our Waymo One Trusted Tester program in San Francisco and Downtown Phoenix, a feedback-focused program that includes an Autonomous Specialist to monitor vehicle operations during rides.
• Just hop in the back seat, buckle up, and press the Start Ride button.
• Sit back and enjoy your trip! Watch the passenger screen to see what the Waymo Driver sees as it takes you to your destination. Our Rider Support team is always available to help when you need it.

Ratings and reviews

You can't choose your starting position unlike every other ride share app. You can only use the app if you're physically present in the service area and at the place where you want to get a ride from. That means that you can't get estimates on price or timing or schedule anything in advance which makes this pretty inferior to Lyft or Uber. They still have a way to go.

Honestly the experience was way better than expected. The waymo drive was smooth and predictable. The app while in it's early stages is great. For those who complain about their costs or "rights", you don't have to use the app. Leaving a review saying I didn't use it, isn't a review. Can't wait to have them expand to more cities. Costs were cheaper than Uber as well by a large margin.

Very easy to use the app and if I could use Waymo to go everywhere I absolutely would. It was such a smooth and easy ride. Absolutely love love love it!
