About this app

This application can detect any pre-programmed Bluetooth or Wi-Fi device. Device detection and alerting can occur either based on a mac address/bssid, the name of the device, or a vendor OUI.

You can save the information for either a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi device or you can save an OUI for a known vendor and this app will alert you if a matching device, or OUI, is within signal range. Matching on a known name is optional for each saved Bluetooth or Wi-Fi device.

For Bluetooth devices, if the device is a "classic" Bluetooth device or if the device is a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) device that is advertising, then this application will be able to detect it and alert accordingly. For a Wi-Fi device, this application will only detect Wi-Fi access points that are beaconing their SSID.

This application can be used for asset tracking or can be used as an early warning system in order to alert you to specific Bluetooth or Wi-Fi access points that are near you.
