Lanternbound is a cozy reading tracker designed for book clubs that want a warm, visual record of every shared read. The main screen presents a tall library ladder leaning against a dark bookshelf, with each finished book resting on its own rung, sorted by the date it was finished. Adding a new entry feels like filling out a simple paper form on a wooden clipboard, where you enter the title, author, the club member who read it, and the date completed. A single tap on the bookplate-shaped button places the cloth-bound volume onto the ladder, where it immediately appears with a distinctive solid color and gold foil title embossing. The Ladder tab always shows your entire collection scrollable across the rungs, with the most recent reads stacked on the lowest rung for quick visibility. Two gentle counters keep you motivated: a carved sleeping cat silhouette displays the total number of books the club has read, while a softly glowing brass lantern hanging from the top rung reveals how many were finished this month. Searching your library is instantly responsive; a magnifying glass with a wooden handle opens a search bar that filters titles and authors on the fly, displaying matching book spines on a single illuminated shelf. The Highlights tab gathers your last five finished reads into a handwritten-style journal, showing each title, the club member who read it, and a brief impression line, making it easy to glance at recent picks and personal notes. Every finished book is marked by a tiny knitted yarn bookmark dangling from the spine, a subtle completion cue that replaces checkmarks with something far more charming. Navigation uses four silk tassels in emerald, ruby, sapphire, and amethyst that hang from the ladder rail, with the active tassel descending slightly for a clear, elegant tab bar. All your club’s reading history lives securely on your device, so you never need an account or internet connection to browse titles or add new finishes. If a book’s details need updating, you can easily edit any entry directly from its rung, or remove it with a simple gesture, keeping your ladder tidy and accurate. Lanternbound transforms logging shared reads into a small ritual, turning a practical task into a cozy keepsake of your group’s literary journey.
