About this app

The spot price shows what your electricity company pays for electricity to you.

The app gives you a quick overview of whether the price is low or high in the coming hours.

New prices are displayed at approximately 13:15 CET/CEST.

It is possible to subscribe to notifications when prices are updated.

The number of countries supported is:
Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, France, Netherlands, Poland, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia , Spain and Switzerland

I appreciate feedback on mistakes or weird translations.

All traffic related to spotprisen.no goes via cloudflare.com to my own server.
No logging or tracking is performed.

The source of prices is Entso-E, in the event of an error in the service, prices will be delayed at Spotpricen as well.

Ratings and reviews

Nice app to have. But the automatic language change when changing country is a bit annoying. I see it can be overruled using the menu but for bilingual countries, Finland for example - there is no way that I have found to manually choose swedish, it defaults to Finnish or you can lock it to English. A better way would be to be able to override the language switching using any preferred language that the app has built in. So you could choose for example Swedish for Finland,French for Belgium etc

Simple and pleasant to use. One star off, unless I'm mistaken: seems like once you have included your transfer cost and taxes in the settings, you can't update them, only add new values after clearing app data in phone settings. Bummer. --- Edit: me dummy, app not. Five stars.

Today's date is off by two days! The current date is Feb 1st, while the app says 30th Jan. What is the point of showing the spot price for the previous day or older and claiming it is today's price? 😞 Disappointing. Updating my review: It appears you have to consent to the ad trackings and data collection cookies, for the app to function as intended, otherwise it will appear as and present data like a drunk Viking. In reality the user does not seem to have a choice at all. Not fair to the user

* Own prices updated. Now percentages of the spot price can be used as tax and you can enter local tax.
* Added new countries: Ireland, Montenegro and North Macedonia
* Switzerland will have a currency unit of CHF, MKD for Macedonia and RDS for Serbia.
* Area statistics may show including VAT
* Changed colors of the price list in dark mode
* Wind turbines in the sea and on land had been changed
* Adjusted prices for subscriptions
