Let it be known, I am not a good photographer. But with this app I have one less excuse for being a bad photographer! I highly advise purchasing the app for the full features offered. The reciprocity failure section and being able to save gear for quick reference is invaluable. The app is very accurate (at least on my phone) and costs less than 1/10 of a light meter.

Great free app. Worth the $6 of the paid version even without the extra features. I like that you can do metering a couple different ways, and I've found it pretty close to accurate, enough I don't worry about it if I use the app instead of my proper meters. I can also set it to third stop, half, or whole to match whatever camera I am carrying. Never used it for flash metering, so no idea how the Max mode works, but for both ambient and reflective in one app it's a good tool.

In my case I don't find sufficient agreement with Light Meter readings of light and that of my legacy Canon 7D. It may easily be a procedure error on my part. I'm using my 7D in spot meter mode instead of this app. However, the Light Meter calculators I use for pinhole photography are essential to my process. As an example the reciprocity error calculator is without fault. The exposure converter is also indispensable. Thank you for this excellent app.
