This app's better than some others I've had experience with but there are some clunky bits. As another review said, the bouncing "Go" animation is very annoying. If it disconnects during a download, the whole app needs to be restarted because it gets stuck on that animation. I'd prefer a progress bar that shows how the download is going in kB/s, and an option to retry or reconnect, rather than a meaningless bouncing Go animation. I also wish it could send notifications when there's a new video.

I have been using this Trail Cam Go app for a couple of years. I have been quite happy with it. But, since there was a software update to version 2.8.5 it added bouncing "GO" animation while accessing the gallery on the camera from my phone. It is annoying, and makes the connection slower. I would prefer to roll back to the previous edition. Updates should not be automatic.

Same results as stated by Amanda. Do everything it says to do in setup. if I do anything else on my phone, WITHOUT closing the app at all, when I go back it has to reconnect, with my phone inches away, it still has to reconnect. Turn on notifications in app permissions, never get any notifications, even with high sensitivity. Seems like a useless camera, better off buying another Ring camera and setting it up. Wanted piece of mind for our chicken coop, ended up with a piece of 💩.
