About this app

■ An app that knows when to stop

Most photo editors let the slider run all the way. The selfie looks great on screen, then feels like a stranger later: skin turned to wax, hair edges smeared, the face flattened.

LUMEA works the other way round. After the face retouch it measures the result again, and if it falls short the app lowers its own strength and recomputes — then returns to your original if that still fails, and says on screen what made it stop.

■ Seven checks before the photo is saved

Identity, texture, edges, colour, light, geometry and artefacts. If a single one collapses the result fails, however high the total — an average lets one fatal flaw hide behind the other six.

■ 55 face controls — only what you touch moves

Face shape 17: size, slim, V-line, double chin, cheekbone, temple, jaw, forehead.
Eyes 11: size, width, height, spacing, tilt, iris, inner, outer and lower corner, eye tail.
Volume 10: forehead, under-eye, apple zone, cheek, nose side, aegyo, eye hollow, brow ridge, chin, lip corner.
Lifting 5 · Nose 5 · Brows 4 · Mouth 3.

Each region is solved on its own, so lip size no longer drags the eyes with it. With several faces in frame you choose who gets edited.

■ Photo editing tools

Skin retouch by frequency separation — blemishes go, pores stay. 41 filters, 14 hair colours, makeup, body shaping, 7 background scenes, 6 light directions, image enhancement and crop.

Beyond sliders there is precision touch for one blemish or one cheek, with a loupe that lifts the spot your finger covers. Edits are stored as an ordered list of operations, not baked pixels, so undo never costs quality and the same look carries to another photo.

■ AI style advice, with evidence

The app measures face shape, skin tone (Monk 10 steps) and personal colour (12 types), then ranks 30 styles by fit and explains each one. If the lighting is uneven and personal colour cannot be measured it says so, instead of inventing a match percentage.

■ Presets by purpose

Natural · Daily · Date · ID photo · Profile · Studio · Film · Glow — each a finished combination of tone, skin, contour and makeup, with every slider still available afterwards.
※ The ID photo preset only tidies the shot. Check the rules of whoever receives it; institutions differ on what retouching they allow.

■ One shutter, several frames

Shooting in the app captures several frames around the shutter — nobody knows the moment they blinked. Each is scored on sharpness, eyes, brightness, framing and expression, and the best comes first with a one-line reason.

■ Face angle in 3D

From one front-facing photo the app measures depth across the whole picture and turns it on three axes — yaw, pitch and roll — so hair, neck and shoulders move together, not a cut-out face over a still background.
※ Not true 3D reconstruction; the screen always says "estimated view", and the range stops where it still looks natural. First use downloads a depth model once, then runs offline.

■ Your photos never leave the device

Face detection, retouching and the quality checks all run on your phone. There is no code in the app that uploads a photo. Gallery access happens only when you pick an image, and no copy of your original is kept — what stays behind is a 128px thumbnail and the edit values as numbers, erasable any time in settings.

The model manager lists every model's size, purpose and licence, and unused ones can be deleted.
