About this app

Easily take care of your concerns about health insurance and health digitally in the My BARMER member area. How to save time, paper and postage:

- Central BARMER service button: upload sick notes, submit applications and download certificates
- Collect bonus points and choose great rewards
- Compass: Keep an eye on (children's) sickness benefit payments, aids, dentures, braces, maternity benefit and rehabilitation
- Mailbox: Communicate securely with BARMER, receive letters digitally and respond directly

ACCESS AND SECURITY
To protect your data, log in to the BARMER app with your BARMER user account. The so-called security device provides additional protection. This is the smartphone or tablet with which you registered.

You do not have an account? Register in the app. Then confirm your identity digitally, for example with your online ID card. With your access data you can also use other BARMER services, such as BARMER eCare or the BARMER Teledoktor.

REQUIREMENTS FOR USE
- You are insured with BARMER
- Android 8 or higher
- Device with unchanged operating system (no root or similar)

Ratings and reviews

Everything in German language and there's no options to change to another language. I am deleting the application I received a response from the developer 14.06.2024, that they are working on the English version. I looked through the forum history. Two years ago there were these same questions and the same answers from the developers. Nothing has changed in two years. Probably a difficult job...

Difficult to understand why a company that makes the ability to provide support to clients in English - a unique selling point - then falls back into 'Acute Germanitis' (an incurable condition, evidently, such an example of bad customer service) and offer an App only in German (which renders what is supposed to help, an obstacle - basically reneging in the very promise made to clients for an English speaking service. De facto it makes it more difficult to use Barmer, since you make this App key

As an international student I can't access the app because I cannot read the language. If the app can have where it switches languages it would be the best. The moment I opened the app after downloading, I was lost so deleted it again. English as an option for international students would be great. Thank you.
