Most days it's the same old 737s and A320s. Then a Kuwait A350, a brand-new airline or a jumbo freighter turns up, and you only hear about it once it has gone. Well Spotted is the plane spotting app that finds those flights for you before they land.

RARE PLANES, RANKED FOR YOU
Every flight gets a rarity mark, weighed against a year of real flights at that airport: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Very rare or Exceptional. Rarity looks at the airline, the aircraft type, the route, the airline flying that type, and whether this exact airframe has been seen there before. Tap a flight to see why it's rare, such as "Their A350 · 17 visits in a year".

EVERY ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE IN ONE FEED
Today and tomorrow at your airport, in time order: airline, flight number, aircraft type, registration, and where it's coming from or going to. Delays show the way airport boards do, with the expected time. Once a flight has landed or taken off, you see the runway it used. The week strip shows each day's rarest flight, and the time on the edge of the list takes you to any hour.

LIGHT AND WEATHER FOR THE SHOT
A gold camera marks every flight that arrives in golden hour. Each flight carries the sky for its hour, and the top of the day shows the weather and wind now, sunrise, sunset and golden hour, and the runways seen in use, so you know when to go.

FILTERS FOR WHAT YOU CHASE
Only the gems. Only arrivals or only departures. Wide-bodies, narrow-bodies, regional jets, turboprops or cargo. Golden-hour flights. Your favourite airlines and aircraft types. Mix them as you like.
