Wispers lets you turn your devices into a personal cloud. Need a document from your home computer while you’re out with your phone? Want to pull photos from your tablet onto your laptop? Just open Wispers and fetch the file.

With Wispers, your devices communicate directly with each other. There’s no need to upload files to a shared folder or sync them through a third‑party cloud before you can access them. There are no storage quotas, no waiting for slow cloud syncs, and no need to remember to put your files in a special shared folder.

Wispers is privacy‑first by design. Traditional file-sharing services store your data in the cloud, exposing it to the operator and to potential loss or account lockout. Wispers never stores your files in the cloud; instead, data is sent directly from one of your devices to another, with a lightweight hub handling coordination but not storage. Your data stays yours from end-to-end.

The app works across all major platforms: macOS, Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS. It’s ideal for people who juggle multiple devices and need their files everywhere.

What’s new

This release has only minor user-visible bug fixes, but makes major updates to the inner workings of the app, making it compatible with much more efficient peer-to-peer file transfers.
