About this app

eTuning is an app for Shimano Steps motors that allows you to configure from your mobile device via bluetoth the ebikes with this system. This is not official Shimano app, It is an app developed by third parties.

Ratings and reviews

It's a cheap way to change the restricted settings on your ebike, but definitely not easy. If you have a new bike and a recent version of Android, you'll have extra steps and troubleshooting. Ideally the troubleshooting steps need to be added to the main instructions as you will come across all of them. For me, downgrading the bike firmware and making the change went mostly ok with some troubleshooting, but I had problems re-updating the firmware afterwards and still get bike errors.

very simple to activate. you can either use the mobile app or if you have the pc tool you can use that also. changed the region in my motor. what a difference it has made in general to the motor's performance. works a lot more efficiently. I thought about buying a new motor before coming across this app. best €36 I've spent in a long time. brilliant.
