FileArk is a fast, private file manager for Android. Browse your storage, find anything by name, open it, move it, compress it, and send it to another device — without an account, without uploading anything, and without a server in the middle.
FIND FILES THE WAY YOU REMEMBER THEM
Search by name inside a folder or across every subfolder. Results show the full path, so three files called IMG_2034.jpg are never a guessing game. Search runs on your device; nothing is sent anywhere.
SEND FILES WITH A QR CODE
Ark Drop shows a QR code. The other device scans it with its camera and receives the file in its browser — a phone, a laptop, a work PC, anything with a browser. Nothing to install on the other side, no cable, no cloud account, and the transfer never leaves your local network.
OPEN WHAT OTHER FILE MANAGERS CANNOT
ZIP, 7z, RAR, TAR and password-protected ZIP. 7z and RAR are the two formats people most often find missing when they need them, usually on a deadline.
SEE WHAT IS EATING YOUR STORAGE
Folders ranked by real size, the largest files, and duplicate detection that reports what you would actually recover — every copy but one, not the whole group. Deleted duplicates go to the Recycle Bin, because a false positive should be a scare, not a loss.
BUILT-IN VIEWERS
Images with pinch zoom, video, audio and text. Turn any of them off in Settings and that file type opens with the app you already prefer.
CONNECT TO YOUR NETWORK STORAGE
SMB2 and SMB3 for Windows shares and NAS boxes, plus FTP, FTPS, SFTP and WebDAV. Credentials are stored encrypted on the device.
CLOUD ACCOUNTS, IF YOU WANT THEM
Dropbox, OneDrive, S3-compatible storage and WebDAV servers like Nextcloud. Browse them next to your own storage and copy or move files either way. Entirely optional: everything above works without ever adding one.
MADE FOR BIG SCREENS TOO
Dual pane on tablets and foldables, with a shared clipboard: copy on the left, paste on the right, no navigating back and forth. Runs on Android TV with remote-friendly focus.
EVERYTHING ELSE A FILE MANAGER OWES YOU
- Copy, move, rename and delete, with a Recycle Bin that is on by default
- Long operations keep running when you leave the app
- SD card and USB drives through the system's storage access
- App manager with APK backup
- Hidden files, sorting, list, grid and details views
- Light, dark and pure-black AMOLED themes
- 83 languages, with right-to-left support
PRIVACY
FileArk has no server of its own. Your files, their names and their contents are never uploaded. Searching, indexing and analysis all happen on your device. The app asks for storage access because a file manager cannot manage files without it, and it explains exactly what that unlocks before asking. If you add a cloud account, FileArk talks to that provider and to nobody else, and your credentials stay encrypted on the device.
FREE AND PRO
Everything above is free. FileArk Pro is a one-time purchase — no subscription — that unlocks the heaviest features for people who use them daily. You can also unlock them temporarily by watching an ad, if you would rather not pay.
Browse, search and send files. Works offline, no account needed.
