About this app

Access information about medications in Spain from your mobile device. Vademecum brings together official data from CIMA-AEMPS and tools to organize your routine searches.

The catalog is updated daily by CIMA-AEMPS. The app incorporates changes upon connection and displays the available update date.

FIND THE MEDICATION YOU'RE LOOKING FOR
• Search by name, active ingredient, or manufacturer, and combine multiple words, with or without accents.

• Explore the therapeutic groups of the ATC classification.

• Filter medications with supply issues and view their alerts.

• Save favorites and return to your searches from your history.

• Open the search engine from the widget on your home screen.

ACCESS COMPLETE INFORMATION WITH A SUBSCRIPTION
• Summary of Product Characteristics (SmPC) and package inserts are available from CIMA, with sectional navigation and access to PDFs.

• Direct access to Interactions, section 4.5 of the SmPC.

• Presentations and national codes.

• Equivalents based on active ingredients, dosage, pharmaceutical form, and route of administration, when the necessary data is available.

• Alternatives without supply notification in the official data. This does not indicate stock availability at a pharmacy nor authorize a substitution.

• Details of supply problems: affected presentations, dates, and available observations.

• AEMPS (Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products) notes with reference, date, and link to the official document.

ORGANIZE YOUR WORK
• Download documents for a medication or all your favorites to read offline. The initial download requires internet access and depends on document availability.

• Add personal notes to each medication, saved on your device.

• Share a summary of the medication as an image, without including your personal notes.

• Use calculators for dosage by volume, dosage by weight, infusion and drip rates, dilution, and unit conversion. They include explained operations and didactic examples and work offline.

The application is free to download. Full access requires a monthly or annual subscription. Before confirming your purchase, the price, subscription period, and current Google Play terms and conditions are displayed, including any applicable free trial.

The subscription renews automatically unless canceled. If you activate a free trial, the indicated price will be charged at the end of the trial unless you cancel beforehand. You can manage or cancel your subscription through Google Play. Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription.
