About this app
Cronigal is an app that computes the medium-term risk of mortality in chronic and polypathologic patients after hospital admission. The prognosis value is computed following a mathematical model from seven clinical and analytic variables: age, neoplasia, delirium, Barthel index, Pfeiffer group, presence of atrial fibrillation and creatinine.
The app also includes forms to compute the Barthel index and the Pfeiffer test automatically.
The prognosis value estimated in this app is the result of an observational, prospective study made in the Polypathology and Advanced Age Unit within the Internal Medicine Department of the Complexo Hospitalario Universitario de Santiago de Compostela (Spain). Its reliability has been proved in other populations with similar characteristics after hospital admission.
The app also includes forms to compute the Barthel index and the Pfeiffer test automatically.
