A free and open source Jabber/XMPP client for Android. Easy to use, reliable, battery friendly. With built-in support for images, group chats and location sharing. End-to-end encrypted by default. Connects to all modern Jabber, XMPP and Snikket servers.

• Be as beautiful and easy to use as possible without sacrificing security or privacy
• Rely on existing, well-established protocols
• Do not require a Google account or specifically Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)
• Require as few permissions as possible

Ratings and reviews

Great at private messages and otherwise very good at most things, but it seems there are some major inconsistencies. On mobile, sometimes media sharing just stops functioning for no apparent reason. No matter what I do, restarting phone, clearing cache, sending fewer media, or clearing space on my phone. It just doesn't function. However, it also just randomly fixes itself. It isn't server sided because my partner can send images to me. On computer. Encryption just barely works. Usually not.

The best messenger ever, beautiful, fast and clean UI, the video calls are more fluid than on any other messenger even on old phones, the only thing I dislike is that every image I send got downloaded back into my gallery whatever the settings I change, it makes a lot of duplicates to manually delete when my images are also automatically synced in a cloud, I wish I could prevent that, then this app would be flawless.

After last updates not connect to alldays accounts. Wrong password. Why? Thanks for clear Answer. i can not ask ALL my contacts migrate (all persons) to new adresses, new servers. Jabber/XMPP have other client applications (working applications). sorry, but - Good bay! Conversations is uninstaled as unusable. Thats all tale.
