About this app

Buses, trains, the Metro, trams and ferry – all in one app. The HSL app allows you to buy public transport tickets for the Helsinki region, find the best routes using the Journey Planner, view all timetables, and receive personalized transport information.

You can buy single, day and season tickets for both adults and children via the HSL app. Adult multi-journey tickets and discounted tickets for students and passengers aged 70 and over are also available via the app. You can pay using the most popular payment methods, including debit/credit cards, MobilePay, phone bill and commuter benefits.

The HSL app's Journey Planner helps you find routes and informs you about the ticket needed for your journey. You can view real-time stop-specific departure and arrival times and track vehicles in real time. The app also displays any service changes and disruptions, and you can choose to receive notifications about these updates directly on your phone.

Very good app. Update: upgraded to 5 stars - app is stable and pretty much worry-free for a long time now. There were minor issues over the years (like a funny one with the time-travelling bus), but they were resolved quickly. Good piece of software. Small note: I think it is worth writing in help that if the user wants to keep the history of the entered addresses, the functional cookies should be enabled (or make a mechanism that doesn't require them).

Absolutely the most worthless app ever. So glitchy! Takes you to the same screen over and over again after you've pressed enter or next. Constantly asking for a verification code, I can't get them here and they won't send them via WhatsApp, to set up an account even though I'm using it as a "guest". By comparison, the Pilet.ee app in Estonia is amazing!

Terrible! Bought a 3-day AB pass in the app, and the transaction went through fine on my CC, ticket displayed in the "Your tickets" section and I was able to use it for a day. The next day was when things went wrong. My original pass initially loaded fine, but I had to buy a separate single ticket for a new zone. When I went through with the new transaction, the app reloaded and EVERYTHING disappeared. My purchase history and my 3-day pass. CS said they couldn't refund or give me new ticket. 😫
