About this app

With St1 Way app you can pay your fuel and car wash purchases with your smartphone. Mobile fueling feature is available at over 400 St1 and Shell stations in Finland. From the app you can also buy individual car washes or packages which can be used at any of the +70 St1 or Shell Perfect car wash stations in Finland.

App features:
• Mobile fueling at over 400 St1 and Shell stations of Finland and reviewing of fuel receipts. You can pay your fuel purchases with the app and just start refueling your car.
• Purchase of car wash or car wash packages without queuing driving directly to car wash. Wash codes purchased from the app can be used within five months at any of the over 70 St1 and Shell Perfect car wash stations.
• Add Visa or Mastercard payment cards for app purchases
• Search the nearest St1 or Shell stations and its services

How to use mobile fueling with St1 Way app?
After downloading the app and adding a payment card:
1. Drive to a St1 or Shell station and its available gas meter. At a manned station choose a pay-at-pump meter.
2. Open St1 Way app and its “Fueling” tab. Remember to give the app access to your location while using the app. Confirm the suggested nearest station and choose a meter you have driven to, as well as the maximum amount you want to refuel.
3. Authorize the payment with your St1 ID or biometric authentication. Start refueling.
4. Receipt will appear to the screen after refueling. Save it as a picture, or browse through receipts later in “My details” tab and “Receipts”.

Ratings and reviews

Works sometimes. However it sucks to have to log in my NetBank to verify the purchase. I have saved the card in your app, why do i have to remember my lengthy NetBank credentials? MobilePay for example works without asking for that every time. Also sliders on touch screen suck. Go on, try to set the exact price you want to pay with the slider through your app. No way you can do that reliably and repeatably. If these hiccups were fixed I'd actually use the app.

Seems there is a bug. After selecting pump dialog saying "connecting to the pump" appears but after a while it just goes back to fuel station selection. E.g. missing is the "you have x minutes to start fueling". Fueling at the pump seems to work, though. This is very confusing to end user. Happened at several different stations, last time yesterday.

tried to install the app on my samsung phone , when it comes to the last bit of pushing yellow button to have it completely installed it wont do anything. the wife installed it on her phone. went to fill up this morning using the app on her phone and it worked fine , got the 7 cents minus even if ekenas is more expensive that Lohja so could have got the diesel even cheaper on monday. But over all it worked fine on her phone, But not on mine as i still cannot fully download the whole app
