About this app

Want to see the music you play or sing as sheet music? 🎶

Record your instrument or voice — and see your melody as notes. Note Recognition captures audio through your microphone, then analyzes the pitch of every note and displays your melody as easy-to-read sheet music in a simplified, alternative notation. Export the result as a MIDI file and keep working with it anywhere.

🔥 What this note detector offers:

✅ Easy-to-Read Sheet Music: See your melody in a simplified, alternative notation that anyone can follow — even without classical staff reading skills.
✅ Record & Analyze: Record with your microphone — afterwards, the app detects the pitch of every note in your melody.
✅ MIDI Export: Save your melody as a MIDI file — use it in your DAW, or open it in notation software like MuseScore to turn it into classical sheet music.
✅ Playback Speed Control: Slow down the playback to zoom into tricky passages and check every detail.
✅ Adjustable Detection Detail: Fine-tune how detailed the note detection should be — from rough outline to fine-grained analysis.
✅ Voice & Instruments: Works with Guitar, Piano, Ukulele, Violin and Vocals.
✅ Sing or Hum: Capture melody ideas anywhere and turn your voice into notes.

👀 Who is this app for?

🎓 Music Students: Train your ear by comparing what you meant to play with what the app detected.
🎼 Songwriters: Never lose a melody idea — record it, check the notes and export it as MIDI.
🎛️ Producers: Hum or play a melody and bring it into your DAW as MIDI in seconds.
👩‍🏫 Music Teachers: Show students which notes they actually played.
🎤 Singers: See the notes you sang and turn your voice into sheet music and MIDI.

🎯 How it works:
Press record and play or sing your melody. When you stop, the app analyzes the recording, performs pitch detection and displays the detected notes as sheet music in the app's clear, alternative notation. Adjust the detection detail, slow down the playback to inspect the result — and export everything as MIDI.

📝 Important note on usage:
This app relies on your microphone. For the best note detection, place your phone close to the instrument. The algorithm is optimized for clear, single notes (monophonic) — perfect for melodies, solos, vocals and single-note practice. It does not transcribe chords or multiple instruments playing at once.

Pretty awesome app. It does what it says it does if you follow the instructions on how to place your microphone. One addition that would make it a 5 star app would be to transcribe into a different key . A modulation feature.. So if my recording was in B-flat and I want to transcribe it into the key of G .It would be nice to have an option for that. The positive features are it make music playing easier . It is Something I dreamt about when I was a little kid taking piano lessons 30 years ago.

The app stopped working after three days. I cannot record, cannot save files and cannot open the ones I've already saved. When I attempt to do it, the app crashes. Also, there is no way to cut a part of the record, and you cant have the notes on a normal note sheet to print out or work with in any way.

Horrible. If you knew how to read music, you'd know this app doesn't work. If it wasn't free, I would have gotten a refund. . . Edit: No. I played the single notes of a Fmaj7 arpeggio, one at a time, quarter notes at around 60bpm to fill out the F A C E. I messed with the volume of the instrument with no luck. Bad app.

What kind of music did you try to convert? Please note that this app isn't working with chords! Edit: Sorry to hear that, maybe we will be able to improve the app in the future so that it will fit your needs too.
