HKeMeter is a new mobile application introduced by the Transport Department. It provides real-time occupancy information of metered parking spaces so as to facilitate motorists in finding vacant on-street parking spaces. Motorists could also pay the parking fee remotely with multiple payment means through the app. The key features of ""HKeMeter"" includes:-
1. Real-time metered parking spaces information
2. Remote payment for parking time with multiple electronic payment means
3. Notification to users before expiry of parking time

This is really a rediculous lousy app. I could not log-in to this app after registration. On more than 4 occasions I called its customer support hotline. Every time the staff told me that they would reset my phone number on their database and I should be able to log-in again. So far, nothing has happened and I am still unable to use this app. The staff told me the resetting process will take 1 business day.

Convenient! would be better if the refresh rate is faster. However, there is bug in payment method update! I updated my credit card expiry under the payment method but it is not effected and keeps saying my card is expired. l deleted it and tried to add the card information again but there is no option to add more than one payment method other than the one in use.

The benefit of the app is you can add time but only to a limited total amount so that's still not great. But overall it seems designed to catch you out and get a parking ticket. It's very, very easy to forget to press the purchase button at the very end which means you may end up getting a ticket. What if the button was in a bright colour? Like what if the design of the app wasn't just green and white? If I get a notification of time running out it's not enough to notice it. UX can be improved.
