I just downloaded the latest Hotspot Shield update. The new software has a major bug. It does not allow you to connect with any individual Hotspot Shield VPN servers directly. It only allows the "AUTO" connection. I even Uninstalled the software, and did a clean complete install with the full version of the software from Google Play Store. So, I solved the problem by uninstalling the new software and downloading and re-installing the old Hotspot Shield for Android version 10.5.1.

It works great when it decides to. My wifi at work isn't super great, so the VPN never connects while I'm there. But it doesn't usually turn back on afterwards. It has been "connecting" for two days, and now it's been "disconnecting" for a while. I'm very frustrated that I paid for a service I get to use, effectively, at random.

When it use rowork I loved it. The past 3 weeks or so it connects to Hotspot the server, but then cannot access any Web site, texts and notifications don't come through as well as Telegram and any app that needs Internet access are unable to connect. Have a LIFETIME subscription and deleting for now. I'll check back in a few weeks to see if they finally fixed it...if not, I wasted a lot of money for nothing.
