HS Remote Control is a native remote for just about any connected TV, built for people who want it simple: open the app, it finds your device on the Wi-Fi network by itself, and that's it — no typing IP addresses, no ads, no sign-up.
SUPPORTED DEVICES
• Samsung (2016 models and newer)
• LG (webOS)
• Android TV and Google TV — Chromecast, NVIDIA Shield, Xiaomi Mi Box, Sony BRAVIA, TCL, Hisense, Philips
• Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Cube
• Roku — including Roku TVs from TCL, Philco, AOC, Hisense and Sharp
• Vizio (SmartCast)
• Panasonic (Viera, models with "Network control")
• Hisense (VIDAA)
• Any TV, sound system or set-top box over INFRARED, if your phone has a blaster
DISCOVERY THAT ACTUALLY FINDS IT
The app looks for your device three ways at once: mDNS, SSDP/UPnP, and a scan of the control ports on your own network. That is why it finds the TV even when the router blocks multicast — the most common reason other apps simply come up empty. If it still does not show up, you can connect by typing the IP.
RECONNECTS ON ITS OWN AND TELLS YOU WHAT IS WRONG
Opened the app while the TV is in standby? It reconnects by itself, with no search screen, and keeps trying while the TV wakes up. If something is wrong, the "Not connecting? Run diagnostics" button shows the cause — phone without Wi-Fi, different networks, TV off, or the TV's remote control turned off — and what to do about it.
IT TURNS THE TV ON, NOT JUST OFF
Most Wi-Fi remotes can turn a TV off and then cannot turn it back on, because a TV that is off does not answer on the network. Here the power button also wakes the TV over the network (Wake-on-LAN), with no need for the physical remote. Works on TVs that report their network address — Samsung, LG and Roku — with the "turn on from phone" option enabled in the TV's settings.
FULL CONTROLS
• D-pad or Touchpad mode (switchable), with haptic feedback
• Back, Home, Menu, Settings and Power
• Channels, number pad, input switching (HDMI), guide and subtitles
• Media controls: previous, rewind, play/pause, fast forward, next
• Volume with a visual bar — and your phone's physical volume buttons control the TV too
• Voice search: say the movie's name instead of typing it letter by letter on the TV
• On-screen keyboard for the TV's search fields
• Shortcuts for Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Disney+, Max, Apple TV, Spotify and Globoplay
ON YOUR HOME SCREEN AND QUICK SETTINGS
A widget shows the last TV you used and turns it on or off with one tap, without opening the app. The same shortcut sits in the Quick Settings panel, reachable from inside any app.
PRIVACY FIRST
The app talks directly to your TV over the local Wi-Fi network, with no server in between. Nothing leaves your phone: no collection, no ads, no trackers, no account or login. Everything it saves (list of TVs, pairing and network address) stays on your device and is erased when you uninstall. Voice search uses Android's own voice app — HS Remote Control does not even ask for microphone permission.
ACCESSIBILITY
Built with screen readers in mind: a D-pad with real buttons (not gestures only), keyboard navigation, increased contrast, descriptive labels and connection states announced automatically.
LANGUAGES
Portuguese, English and Spanish — the app follows your phone's language.
